Before you go
- Check the trail status list on ncparks.gov the morning you go, as several trails and access points can experience closures.
- Day use and parking at the park are free, with no entrance fees required.
- Pack light and check water levels before you go, as crossing the river and rock-hopping can get sketchy after heavy rain.
- If you are camping at the primitive Fanny's Ford sites, you must hike in a mile and carry all of your own gear, food, and water.
