One of the most magical times on the water is the time during the hours directly around sunset. Birds do their final calls of the night. Frogs begin to sing. Fireflies light up the trees. Owls begin their calls and activity. Everything gets just a little bit stiller.Spend this magical time exploring creeks and coves. Based on guest feedback we will be offering some dates for this trip that meet earlier and get off the water before fully dark (indicated in trip date list). These paddles take place on either the Lower Eno River or Panther Creek/Upper Falls Lake. Paddle lasts approximately 2 hours and all paddling equipment is included. Guests will need to supply a head lamp or flashlight for themselves.Reservation/Payment must be made prior to arrival.Kayaks are for a SINGLE PADDLER. Canoes are for 2 PADDLERS. The Evening Exploration Paddle is a guided two-hour twilight water excursion on the Lower Eno River or Panther Creek. Before you book, note that this activity is restricted to children ages 10 and older, and any child under 14 must ride in a canoe with an adult. You must register and pay in advance, and every participant is required to bring their own flashlight or headlamp. All other paddling gear is provided, with single kayaks and two-person canoes available. This is a peaceful way to transition into the weekend, letting you experience the local waterways just as the daytime bustle quietens and the nocturnal wildlife wakes up.
