Bring the kids to the Durham County Main Library, 300 N Roxboro Street, Durham, North Carolina, for Tools For School on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., while supplies last. (It's best to show up on the early side.) Kids can pick up a free backpack and choose one free school supply item, such as a notebook, colored pencils, or markers. Community partners will also be on site sharing helpful local resources and fun giveaways. Check the listing, as it will be updated when all supplies have been distributed.
