Discover Raleigh’s Craft Beverage Scene After Work. Trade the office for a pint and a stroll. Join Taps & Corks Tours for a laid-back weekday happy hour exploring Raleigh’s Whitaker Mill district. This guided walking tour combines local craft beverages, neighborhood history, and a chance to unwind with fellow beer and cider lovers. We’ll kick things off at Lynnwood Brewing Concern, where you’ll enjoy your favorite craft beer while ordering dinner from Wilson’s if you’d like. Then we’ll take a short walk to East Bower Cider Co., Raleigh’s first cidery, for a cider tasting and, weather permitting, time to relax on the patio. Along the way, you’ll discover the fascinating history of North Carolina craft beer and learn the story behind Whitaker Mill—where it stood, what it produced, and how this historic area has transformed into one of Raleigh’s favorite gathering spots. Your guide, Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours, has spent more than 12 years writing about North Carolina beer, cider, and wine through the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She loves introducing guests to local craft beverages while sharing the stories that make each neighborhood unique.
