One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge
Community

One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a self-paced, fantasy-themed fitness program hosted by the Durham County Library system. To participate, families can pick up a physical tracking sheet at the South Regional or North Regional library branches, or request a digital copy online. Participants track their active minutes doing any physical activity they choose, from backyard play to neighborhood walks, to complete challenges and earn collectible buttons. This program is free and open to all ages, making it a flexible option for toddlers, teens, and parents alike. You can start the challenge anytime in September, and you have until the end of November to finish. Both library branches offer free parking lots, accessible restrooms, and cozy children's areas where you can browse books after picking up your tracking sheets. This is a smart weekend pick because it turns everyday outdoor play into a game. It gives kids a tangible goal to work toward over the autumn months, and visiting the library to claim their reward buttons makes for an easy, low-stress weekend outing.
