NO VISA and The Parlour are partnering to introduce a limited-edition ice cream flavor: Plantain Glacé. Inspired by the shared memories, flavors, and cultural connections of fried plantains across the diaspora, this special collaboration celebrates Durham’s local creativity and community. Since opening its downtown location in 2013, The Parlour has become a beloved Durham staple. They are known for their high-quality, handmade, small-batch ice cream and for creating a welcoming space that brings people together. NO VISA is a Triangle-based creative collective that connects people through music, art, and culture. What began as a genre-agnostic dance party has expanded into community-led workshops and curated cultural programming. While deeply rooted in North Carolina, NO VISA has also brought its unique sound to cities like Tokyo, Paris, Johannesburg, and New York. The Launch Celebration Join in for an all-ages community gathering to celebrate the launch. Enjoy live music from local DJs and be among the first to try the new flavor. Following the event, Plantain Glacé will be available for one month at The Parlour’s downtown Durham shop and select local spots while supplies last.
