Join Durham County Public Health for Mental Health First Aid, a one-day course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. It will cover topics such as: • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges. • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges. • How to interact with a person in crisis. • How to connect a person with help. • Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care. The course is open to adults who wish to learn how to respond with the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan. Registration is Required and closes September 1st. Attending this course earns you an extra entry into the One Walk to Rule Them All exercise challenge with submission of a completed tracker.
