Line Dance for All Levels encourages participants to develop a good understanding of line dance fundamentals. This class continues to emphasize the basics but moves at a faster pace than traditional beginner line dance and with slightly less repetition. Many participants start at this level. Dances may include popular dances performed in social venues (Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.), contra line dances (two lines of dancers face each other), and circle dances. In these classes, you will move your body, train your brain, and have fun!
Line Dance for All Levels is a weekly, one-hour instructional dance class held at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts. Participants learn a mix of classic social dances, circle dances, and contra line dancing in a supportive group setting. The instruction focuses on building a solid foundation of steps at a slightly quicker pace than a absolute beginner class, making it ideal for those who want to keep their minds and bodies active. This class is designed strictly for adults aged 18 and older. Registration is required through the town recreation portal, and fees vary depending on residency. Free parking is available in the dedicated lot at the Renaissance Centre and along Brooks Street. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with smooth soles that allow you to slide easily on the wooden floors, and bring a water bottle. Taking time for yourself is essential, and this Tuesday evening class offers a structured, low-pressure way to exercise and meet neighbors. It is a fantastic, affordable option for a solo outing or a casual date night close to home.
