Introducing: Hot Metal Cold Beer! Join Liberty Arts and The Glass Jug on First Fridays at the Foundry this fall - pick from August 7th, September 4th, & October 2nd to participate! Hot Metal Cold Beer is part foundry experience, part happy hour, and all access behind-the-scenes look into one of Durham’s most unique art spaces. During the evening, you’ll create the pattern for your own bronze or aluminum project before watching Liberty Arts’ foundry crew transform it into metal during a live pour. While your piece is being cast, grab whatever you fancy at The Glass Jug - Downtown Durham using your included drink token, and enjoy an evening exploring a pop-up art market featuring work from Liberty Arts artists. Throughout the night you’ll witness the glow of molten metal, experience the excitement of a working foundry, and get a rare look at the casting process from just beyond the foundry floor.
