Join HOOPLA for an afternoon of wearable art, performance, tea, and community—all supporting HOOPLA Rising, a free youth arts mentorship program. The HOOPLA Tea Party will feature a youth wearable art runway showcase, HOOPLA sculptures, spoken word, improvisational dance, live drawing, afternoon tea and grazing table, desserts, and a silent auction featuring experiences and goods from local businesses. At the heart of the event is the HOOPLA Rising runway, where young artists will present wearable sculptures they created from reclaimed materials while sharing their own reflections on what it means to “take up space.”Skirt the issues, spill the tea, and take up some space!Proceeds support HOOPLA and help keep HOOPLA Rising free for young artists.
