It takes place Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Moore Square, 201 S Blount Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a FREE event. Experience the complete Lord of the Rings theatrical trilogy outdoors while exploring a festival filled with themed activities, local vendors, artists, food trucks, and more. You will have time for several hobbit meals from the food trucks, although you'll need to eat breakfast and second breakfast before the festival starts. The movie marathon begins at 10 a.m., with the Hobbit Fest festival experience from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving guests plenty of opportunities to shop, eat, play, and celebrate Middle-earth. Movie Marathon Schedule 10 a.m. – The Fellowship of the Ring 1:30 p.m. – The Two Towers 5 p.m. – The Return of the King Whether you're embarking on the journey for the first time or returning to Middle-earth for the hundredth, gather your fellowship and spend the day with us in downtown Raleigh.
