Lots of recent rain means a mushroom bonanza. Join us for a walk along Forest Ridge Park's trails and learn the basics of mushroom identification. We'll learn how to use field guides, identification apps, and other tools to figure out what's in front of us. While we're hunting we'll talk about the different parts of mushrooms and the different features we can use to identify a mushroom. Come join us while we hunt for mushrooms! This is a 1 to 2 mile hike covering various terrain including gravel, dirt, rocks, and roots. Bring a reusable water bottle and comfortable, closed-toed shoes. If you would like to check out binoculars or trekking poles, please arrive 10 minutes early.
