Keep socially active while learning new games! Members are welcome to play one of our board games or bring one from home. We love learning new games and new strategies for old games in a fun, non-competitive environment! Game Day for Grown-Ups is a free, two-hour social event where adults can gather to play board games at the North Regional Library in Durham. It is a casual opportunity to connect with other residents, learn new tabletop strategies, and enjoy some kid-free conversation. This program takes place in the library's large meeting room on Milton Road, which offers plenty of free parking in the main lot. The event is entirely free to attend, and you are welcome to bring your own favorite board games from home or choose from the library's selection. Because this is designed specifically as an adult program, you will want to arrange childcare for the afternoon. It is a great weekday escape for parents who have flexible schedules or a rare afternoon off. You get to stimulate your brain, meet new people in the community, and enjoy a quiet, organized activity without having to clean up any game pieces afterward.
Do I need to bring my own board games to this event?
You are welcome to bring a favorite game from home to share, but the library will also have a selection of board games available for everyone to play.
Is there a fee to attend, and do I need to register?
