Twenty-five years after September 11, a day that changed our nation forever, Activate Good is calling on the Triangle to come together not only to remember, but to serve. On September 11, 2026, Activate Good will lead its annual 9/11 Day of Service & 25th Anniversary Remembrance Event, transforming a day of tragedy into a powerful day of unity, service, resilience, and hope. The event will take place at John Chavis Memorial Park, 905 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Raleigh, North Carolina. The morning shift is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the afternoon shift is from 2 to 4 p.m. Register for the morning shift. Hundreds of volunteers will gather across the Triangle to honor the victims, survivors, first responders, military members, and everyday heroes of September 11 through meaningful acts of service. In partnership with the City of Raleigh, Activate Good will host its signature Remembrance Event at John Chavis Memorial Park, bringing the community together for hands-on service projects, a Community Connections Fair, remarks from local leaders, and opportunities to support critical needs across our community. Each shift kicks off with a commemoration featuring the Raleigh Fire Department’s Honor Guard, moment of silence, the National Anthem and words from local leaders.
