Walnut Creek Wetland Center, 950 Peterson Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, is hosting its 8th annual Mud Day on Saturday, August 15, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Looking for stuff for your kids to do? Check out 's big list of upcoming free and cheap kid-friendly events in the Triangle! This is a FREE event that is intended to demonstrate the importance of wetlands, as well as the importance of kids having fun outside. Come dressed to get messy and wet! The highlight is sliding in a giant mud pit! The event will include: Food trucks Meeting local environmental groups Lots of muddy fun!
