Do you have a young person in your life who has been asking for a sewing machine or how to use one? This class is perfect to help beginners get started on their sewing journey! Over the course of two sessions, students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine, and create their own tote bag. Class session 1: Learn basic functions of the sewing machine, practice stitching on paper and fabric, create the patchwork pocket for your tote bag. Class session 2: Practice threading the sewing machine, changing ststich styles, creating decorative designs with thread. Assemble tote bag with handles and the pocket created in session 1.
