The Waverly Place Sunset Music Series is a weekly outdoor concert held on Wednesday evenings in the central plaza of the Cary shopping center. It offers a casual space for parents to unwind and children to move around after school. This event is best suited for toddlers through elementary-aged children who need space to run. Admission is free, and you can park in the main Waverly Place lots, though spaces closest to the green fill up quickly. Plan to bring your own low-backed lawn chairs or blankets, and feel free to pick up takeout from the surrounding restaurants to eat during the show. It makes a great addition to your weekly routine because it requires very little planning. You can easily combine dinner and outdoor playtime into one easy evening before the bedtime rush.
