Crowder County Park, 4709 Ten Ten Road, Apex, is located on 33 acres of landscaped grounds and hardwood forests. Amenities include three playgrounds, three picnic shelters, a sand volleyball court, playfield, walking trails, an outdoor amphitheater and a 3-acre pond with a boardwalk and observation deck. Crowder County Park hosts many family events. Register for programs here. Space is limited for all programs, and might be filled up when you read this. Upcoming Events Introduction to Invasive Species Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026 9:30-10:30 a.m. Free (register at above link) Want to learn about common invasive species in North Carolina? Join a park naturalist and study what makes these species "invasive," how they arrived in our area, and how to identify and treat a variety of invasives. Please bring a water bottle and closed-toe shoes, as part of this program will be a walk outdoors. For ages 10+. Meet at the Cardinal Shelter, the first shelter on your right near the upper parking lot. Turtle Talk Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026 10-11 a.m. Free (register at above link) Did you know that more than 5 species of turtle call Crowder Park home? Join park staff as we talk turtles! Together, we will discuss identification, behavior, and the fascinating phenomenon of scutes. Best for ages 5 and up.
