Track or Treat at New Hope Valley Railway is a festive, family-friendly train ride through the pine woods of New Hill featuring seasonal decorations and Halloween displays along the tracks. Before you head out, note that while admission to the railway grounds is free, you must purchase tickets in advance for the actual train rides, as these popular seasonal departures sell out quickly. The railway is located just south of Apex, offering free gravel parking on-site. The outdoor train cars are open-air, so dress your children in layers to stay comfortable during the ride, and feel free to let them wear their costumes.
