We hear Tequila or Mezcal and we think about “happy times” and colorful Mexico. It doesn’t matter where on earth you are, everyone knows Tequila and Mezcal. You will be amazed about the real meaning and tradition of these two gems! In this fun and educational in-classroom class you will learn about the region, how agave is grown and harvested and the steps of Tequila and Mezcal production, including the distillation process. Our mission is to share and celebrate the history and tradition of these spirits and teach you the proper way to serve, taste, enjoy and pair them! We guarantee that by the end of this class your perception about this type of liquor will be totally different. During this 90 minute class, you will: – Learn about their history, tradition and production methods – Smell, taste and explore several styles of Tequila and Mezcal on superb Tequila Riedel glasses – Learn where the aromas come from and how they smell in the proper glass – Learn how to serve Tequila and Mezcal – Become more adventurous about trying different styles and at the best quality – Improve your ability to describe Tequila and Mezcal You will have the privilege of tasting and analyzing different styles of Tequila & Mezcal. For that reason you will have two educators in just one night: Raj Sabharwal and Doreen Colondres. Maybe she gets inspired and makes a few botanas to pair with the tasting.
