Every year, Earth travels through a debris field left behind by a Sun-orbiting comet resulting in amazing meteor showers that light up the pre-dawn July and August skies. Join a Ranger to learn about these and other fiery space objects and then enjoy the show! Leave when you need to! Bring a chair or blanket as the best viewing will be lying down! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear bug spray, bring water and snacks! Spaces are limited, and registration is required . To sign up, call (984) 250-1370 or email eno.river@ncparks.gov . Include the number of guests in your party and a phone number where you can be reached if the event is changed or canceled.
