September is a time of transitions, whether it’s summer into autumn or starting a new school year. We invite you to ease into your next chapter with guided meditative sound healing led by Emily Barnhill, a certified Sound Healing Practitioner. Bring a mat if you have one and get ready to be “bathed” in sound frequencies and vibrations for a deeply restorative session.Space is limited, registration required.
Sound Healing Meditation is a guided relaxation session where a certified practitioner uses specific sound frequencies and vibrations to help participants ease stress. Led by Emily Barnhill, this event uses gentle auditory tones to help you reset during the hectic back-to-school season. This free session takes place in the community room at the Oberlin Regional Library, which offers plenty of free surface parking. The program is best suited for adults and teens who can remain quiet and still for an hour. You will need to bring your own yoga mat or thick towel to lie on, as the library floor is uncarpeted in the meeting spaces. Registration is required beforehand because space is limited. Taking an hour for yourself on a Saturday afternoon is a smart way to recharge. Since the library has an excellent children's section, one parent can attend the meditation while another parent or caregiver browses books with the kids.
