Sherri and Larry are getting married and you’re invited! Sherri and Larry are Oaks & Spokes and Raleigh Community Kickstand’s two shipping containers. They want to become a hub for bike programming for both organizations at Dix Park, but they need your help to make this happen. United in love before our lord Sheldon Brown, Sherri and Larry will become a community bike shop, a center for education, and a gathering space. In lieu of traditional gifts, we’re asking friends, family, and the community to contribute to their registry and help bring their new home to life. Come celebrate the happy couple! Sherri and Larry will make it official with a short but beautiful ceremony at Dix Park, followed by a bike ride to the reception. Everyone is invited, whether or not you are able to contribute to the fundraiser. If you can give, any amount helps us get Sherri and Larry ready for their new life together.

Sherri & Larry Wedding - Container Fundraiser Party! is a community celebration and fundraiser to transform two shipping containers into a permanent bicycle education and repair hub at Dix Park. This playful event features a mock wedding ceremony for the containers, followed by a group bike ride to an after-party. What to Know: The event starts at 4:00 PM at Dix Park, where you can park for free in the public lots. It is entirely free to attend, though donations to the registry are welcome to help fund the bike shop tools and setup. Kids of all ages who can ride a bike or ride in a trailer are welcome, and everyone should bring their own bikes, helmets, and water bottles. This is a fantastic weekend pick because it combines outdoor activity with a lighthearted, community-focused celebration that helps make Raleigh more bicycle-friendly for our children.
