Take your Stage, Cosplay, and Renaissance Festival costumes to the next level with added embellishments. In this workshop led by costume designer, Emma Droste, a Raleigh Burlesque performer and RenFaire particpant, you will enhance your costume with items you provide such as fringe, ribbons, fabric, felt, decorative trims, low pile fur, etc. Please NO GLITTER items. Bring your costume base piece (examples: dress, vest, skirt, top, pants, etc.) that you would like to embellish as well as 3 - 4 embellishment trims and brainstorm with other students on the best way to make your costume come to life. Due to time constraints, you will be able to attach 1 - 2 of the trims using our provided sewing machines and sewing tools. All skill levels welcome including beginners who have taken our Sewing Level 1 class or who have equivalent experience. You need to know how to thread and be comfortable operating a sewing machine. Bring a friend - we have a 4 person minimum for a class to take place! This class is open to students 12+. Class Requirements Prerequisite: Sewing Level 1 at Craft Habit, or equivalent experience. Students must be comfortable setting up, threading, and operating a sewing machine
