Do you have a sewing machine that you're not sure how to make it work? This class is for you! Learn to set up & thread the machine, change the needle, wind a bobbin, stitch with a seam allowance, backstitch, change machine settings, and troubleshoot. Bring your own sewing machine, machine manual, power cord, foot pedal, thread and 2 empty bobbins compatible with your machine. IMPORTANT: Before registering for this class, make sure your machine turns on when plugged in, and that the needle moves when you press the foot pedal. This class is ideal for those of you who are ready to begin your dive into the magical world of machine sewing but because it can be daunting, you just haven't jumped in yet! Once you take this class and get hands on experience, you'll be ready to move on to our Sewing Level 2 classes, where you will build new skills and confidence. Our goal with our adult sewing series is to help you work up to projects such as bag making, quilting, or garment sewing, that maybe have you a little intimidated right now. What to bring - Your sewing machine, foot pedal and power cord. Your sewing machine manual. If you don't have a paper copy, you can often find a PDF version online if you search by the make & model of your machine. Electronic copies are fine if you download to a phone or tablet. A spool of thread, and 2 empty bobbins compatible with your machine, sewing tools + feet that came with your machine.
