Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson. From September 1–27, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "Oppossum Opposites" written by Gina Gallois and illustrated by Aleksandra Bobrek. From September 3-31, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk® "Fireflies, Fireflies, Light My Way," written by Jonathan London, and illustrated by Linda Messier. From September 5-27, visit the new Harris Lake StoryWalk®, "The Story of Pinus Palustris," written by Margarete Shearin Cumberland and illustrated by Lizzie Tucker. From September 1-30, Oak View's brick walkways will feature the children's book, "Dreamers," written and illustrated by Yuyi Morales. From September 3 –30, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "When the Leaf Blew In," written by Steve Metzger and illustrated by Kellie Lewis. From September 1-31, visit the new Robertson Millpond StoryWalk®, "Riding Magic" written by Kelly Starling Lyons and illustrated by E.B. Lewis.
