Come for the Stories, stay for the Play! Join us for an interactive sensory program designed for families with children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with sensory processing needs. This program is geared towards children ages 3-5 years old, but children of all ages are welcome.
Sensory Saturday: Stories & Playtime is an interactive library program in Knightdale designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum and those with sensory processing needs. What to Know: While the activities are planned with preschoolers ages 3 to 5 in mind, siblings of all ages are welcome to join. The event is entirely free to attend, and registration is not required. East Regional Library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of spaces, and you do not need to bring any special supplies, just comfortable clothes for playtime. This is a wonderful weekend option because it offers a structured yet relaxed environment where your child can engage at their own pace. It is a low-pressure way to enjoy the library and meet other local parents who understand the joys and challenges of sensory differences.
