Scented Storytime is for preschoolers and their families.
Scented Storytime is a monthly sensory literacy event where preschoolers explore books through smell, music, and hands-on crafting. Hosted by the local artisans at Bright Black Candle Co., this gathering pairs traditional storytelling with olfactory elements to help young children connect with narratives in a new way. This free program is designed specifically for children ages three to five and their caregivers. Because space and craft supplies are limited, you will want to register online through the library calendar before heading out. It is a wonderful Friday morning outing because it combines early literacy with a tactile activity. Your child gets to socialize with other local kids, and you can browse the library shelves to stock up on books for the weekend ahead.
