This October 31st, celebrate Halloween at Cat’s Cradle with Saxsquatch and help the community while you’re at it. Saxsquatch is once again partnering with PORCH Chapel Hill - Carrboro to collect food for families, pantries, and schools. PORCH will have a donation center set up at the show and will gladly accept any in-date nonperishable food. Current priorities are Nutella, pasta sauce (plastic jars), snacks, cereal, and cooking oil. ALL AGES SHOW
What is Saxsquatch w/ Dougish, Garbleghoul | PORCH Benefit? This is an all-ages Halloween night concert at Cat's Cradle featuring live music and a community food drive to support local hunger relief. If you are planning to go, tickets are $22.72 and the doors open at 7:00 PM. Because this is a benefit for PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro, attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations. The drive is specifically looking for kid-friendly snacks, cereal, pasta sauce in plastic jars, Nutella, and cooking oil. This event makes a solid weekend pick for parents of teens and older kids who want an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. It combines a high-energy concert with a tangible way for your teenagers to participate in community service on a holiday night.
PORCH is collecting nonperishable food items at the venue. Their highest priority needs right now are cereal, snacks, cooking oil, Nutella, and pasta sauce in plastic jars.
Is this show appropriate for younger children?
While the venue has designated this as an all-ages show, the late start time of 7:00 PM on Halloween night makes it best suited for middle schoolers, teenagers, and adults.
