Roxboro and Mangum Two-Way Conversion Design Information Session

Project Description In 2020, the City of Durham completed the Move Durham Study, which looked at ways to improve streets in the city's core. The study recommended that Roxboro and Mangum streets be converted to two-way traffic. Two-way streets can help: Slow traffic Reduce crashes Make it easier to walk and cross the street These improvements can be made with only a small increase in travel time for drivers. The Transportation Department started designing the two-way conversion in April 2025. Draft designs were shared with the public in fall 2025 for feedback.
