Reading Time with Ms. Chloe
Arts

Reading Time with Ms. Chloe is a targeted, one-on-one literacy support session designed to help children practice reading aloud and master phonics blending. Located in the children's area of the Durham County Library Main Branch, this program pairs your child with an educator for a focused, twenty-minute block of personalized attention. To secure a spot, you must register for a specific time slot in advance through the Durham County Library events calendar. The program is entirely free, and you can either bring your child's favorite book from home or let Ms. Chloe select appropriate titles from the library shelves. While you do not sit in on the session, library policy requires you to remain on the children's floor the entire time. This weekday afternoon event is an excellent opportunity to ease your child back into the school-year routine. It provides professional reading support without the cost of a private tutor, making it a smart, productive stop to add to your weekly library run.
