Playtime Pals is a weekly morning social hour where young children can play with library toys while their caregivers connect. The library staff sets out a variety of age-appropriate toys in the dedicated children's programming room, creating a safe space for toddlers and preschoolers to practice sharing and social skills. This drop-in program is completely free and requires no advance registration, making it easy to fit into unpredictable morning routines. The East Regional Library has a large, free parking lot directly in front of the building, and the children's area has family restrooms equipped with changing tables. You do not need a library card to attend, but you may want to bring one along to check out books after the session ends. It is an ideal Thursday morning outing because it provides a low-pressure environment for children to burn off energy before lunch. Caregivers can swap local recommendations and chat in a relaxed setting without worrying about keeping kids perfectly quiet.
