Their mission is to grow the next generation of farmers by connecting the community to sustainable agriculture. Raleigh City Farm offers workshops, tours, special events and more. "Pay What You Can" Farm Stand Every Wednesday, April to October, Raleigh City Farm operates a farm stand from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come on by to purchase produce that's grown right there on the urban farm. The items are "pay what you can." How "Pay What You Can" works: Pay the suggested amount Pay less than the suggested price for up to $10 of fresh produce Pay it forward! (Pay more than the suggested price, as a donation.) The harvest varies according to the season, but includes items like: Basil Cabbage Collards Eggplant Herbs Mustard Greens Okra Peppers Squash Tomatoes Bouquets More! Join up from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday (weather permitting) to take care of the site, learn about plants and regenerative agriculture, make new friends, and enjoy a splash of wine or alcohol free beverage donated by Wine Authorities.
