Owl-o-ween Owl Pellet Dissection

Happy Owl-o-Ween! Learn more about these amazing animals by dissecting owl pellets, the undigested bones, fur, and feathers of the owl's prey. (Technically, these are raptor pellets, but owl-o-ween is better than raptor-ween!) Coming with friends? Please consider working together so we can welcome more people to this program. Register as "bringing a guest," but please keep the maximum group size to 4! Pellets are locally sourced and sanitized. Nitrile gloves must be worn during dissection. Picture sourced from Barn Owl Trust. If you have any accessibility questions or accommodation needs, please contact us at Maker_STEAM@dconc.gov. We ask that all requests be made at least 2 business days prior to the event to ensure we can provide the best accommodations possible.
