One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a Lord of the Rings themed physical activity initiative hosted by the Durham County Library system. To participate, you can pick up a paper tracker at the South Regional Library or North Regional Library, or request a PDF copy by email. You have until November 30th to complete at least four of the five challenges on the tracker by logging your minutes for any type of exercise you prefer. What to Know: This program is free and open to all ages, though prizes are the same for all age groups. You can collect a lanyard and individual completion buttons at either library branch as you finish each challenge, or gather them all at the end. Returning your completed tracker by December 10th enters you into a raffle for prizes like Fitbit Charges, themed gift bags, or a Lego set. You can also earn extra raffle entries by attending specific library programs during the challenge months. This is a highly flexible option for a fall weekend because you can complete your physical activity anywhere, at your own pace, and on your own schedule. It is an easy way to keep your kids moving during the cooler months while working toward tangible rewards they can collect at the library.
