One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a self-paced, fantasy-themed fitness program hosted by the Durham County Library system. To participate, you can pick up a physical tracking sheet at either the South Regional or North Regional library branches, or request a digital copy online. Kids and parents can log any type of physical activity, from backyard soccer to neighborhood walks, to complete the challenges on the sheet. This program is entirely free and open to all ages, making it a highly flexible option for toddlers up to teens. You can park for free in the dedicated lots at the South Regional Library on Alston Avenue or the North Regional Library on Milton Road. Bring a water bottle and comfortable shoes for whatever activity your kids choose, and remember to keep the tracker in a safe spot so you can bring it back to the library to claim your reward buttons. This is a smart weekend pick because it turns regular outdoor play into a game. It gives children a tangible goal to work toward during your usual park visits or backyard playtime, with a fun reward they can collect at the library desk.
