The One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a self-paced, fantasy-themed fitness initiative hosted by the Durham County Library system. To participate, head to either the South Regional or North Regional branch to grab a physical tracking sheet, or request a digital copy online. Kids and parents can log any type of movement, from backyard tag to neighborhood bike rides, to complete four out of five challenges on the sheet by November 30th. This program is entirely free and open to all ages, making it an easy way to motivate toddlers, school-aged kids, and teens to stay active. You can park for free in the library lots at the South Regional branch on Alston Avenue or the North Regional branch on Milton Road. Each time your child finishes a challenge milestone, bring the tracker back to either library location so they can collect a special completion button. This is a smart weekend pick because it turns everyday physical activity into a game with tangible rewards. You can sign up on Saturday and immediately use your family walk or park visit to start logging minutes toward the first prize.
