One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a self-paced, fantasy-themed fitness program hosted by the Durham County Library system. Running through November, this activity encourages participants of all ages to log their physical movement, whether that means stroller walks, backyard tag, or family bike rides. To participate, families can pick up a physical tracking sheet at the South Regional or North Regional library branches, or request a digital copy to print at home. This program is entirely free and open to all ages, making it an easy way to motivate toddlers and school-aged kids to stay active. You can choose any form of exercise your family prefers, and there is no pressure to complete the tasks quickly. Once you finish a challenge milestone, bring your tracker back to either the South Regional or North Regional branch so your kids can collect their reward buttons. Both library locations offer free, accessible parking lots and public restrooms. This is a smart weekend pick because it turns routine neighborhood walks into an interactive game. It gives kids a tangible goal to work toward over the autumn months, with a low-stress reward system that fits easily into a busy family schedule.
