One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge

One Walk to Rule Them All Exercise Challenge is a self-paced, fantasy-themed fitness initiative hosted by the Durham County Library system. Running from late summer through November, this program encourages participants of all ages to log their physical activity and earn rewards along the way. To participate, stop by the South Regional Library on Alston Avenue or the North Regional Library on Milton Road to grab a physical tracking sheet, or request a digital copy online. Kids and parents can log any type of movement, from backyard tag to neighborhood bike rides, to complete four out of five challenges. Once a milestone is reached, bring the tracker back to either library branch to collect a themed completion button. The program is entirely free, and parking at both library branches is plentiful and easy. This makes a great weekend anchor because it turns routine neighborhood walks into an interactive game. It is an easy way to motivate reluctant walkers and gives your family a concrete goal to work toward during your outdoor time over the next few months.
