New Sweat recently released their third album, Faultlines, and the Raleigh-based quartet has become a veteran force on the local live music scene, blending harmony-rich folk, dynamic grooves, jams, and road-worn originals into a sound that turns any room into a raucous juke joint. Formed in Raleigh in 2007 by Pennsylvania natives Garrett Cummings, Abe Kline, and Taylor Cummings, the trio became a quartet when Doug McCullough joined in 2012, adding keys and soulful vocals. New Sweat has released three albums: No Instructions (2012), Machines (2019), and Faultlines (2026). Also on the bill is Daniel Anderson and Heroic Dose, formed in 2022 by the North Carolina blues guitarist and songwriter whose influences span Delta and Hill Country blues, gospel, country, roots-rock, psychedelia, and jam improvisation. A seasoned touring musician and sought-after sideman, Anderson has performed across the country, co-written regional #1 songs, and shared the stage with blues legend T-Model Ford. Heroic Dose recently released its debut single, “Stuck With Trouble,” available on major streaming platforms.
