Photo: Depositphotos The Town of Morrisville is celebrating Independence Day on Thursday, July 2, 2026, with Red, White & Boom! at Cedar Fork District Park, 228 Aviation Parkway, Morrisville, North Carolina. The festival will take place from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and will include live music, inflatables, face painting, food trucks, family-friendly games, and more. A fireworks show will conclude the evening. The festival is free, but please bring money for the food trucks, games and activities. Activities & Entertainment Inflatables – $20 for an unlimited access wristband (no cash sales). Sales will end at 8 p.m. Face Painting LED Hoop Performer Food Trucks Balloon Twisters Music & MORE! Parking & Shuttles There is NO on‑site parking for this event. Free shuttles will run continuously from 808 Aviation Pkwy and 909 Aviation Pkwy to Cedar Fork District Park. Riders will be dropped off inside the park; after the event, all return shuttles will pick up on Aviation Parkway, near the park's main entrance. The last shuttle into the park leaves at 8:45 p.m. Shuttle service back to 808 and 909 Aviation Parkway will resume after fireworks have ended. Limited accessible parking will be available on‑site on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Greenway Access The Crabtree Creek Greenway will remain open. If you live nearby, consider walking or biking to help reduce traffic and congestion. Stay Cool & Prepared Bring refillable water bottles for the free water station. Coolers are recommended for keeping drinks cold. Pack blankets and chairs for comfortable seating. No grills, alcohol, drone or personal fireworks allowed. It's recommended that you leave dogs at home due to heat and loud noises.
