FARMERS MARKET LOCATION CHANGE - SEPT 19th ONLY!This year, when the Annual Hillsborough Hog Day uses our regular market space - we will NOT be closing down...just moving down the road! Join us and celebrate Hog Day the old fashioned way - celebrating local food and supporting small farmers! We won't have cotton candy, funnel cakes or inflatables, but we will have friendly farmers, peak season produce, local meats and Wooden Nickel BBQ sandwiches - complete with slaw on a freshly baked Strong Arm Baking roll. Sandwiches will be $10 and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the SNAP Double Bucks Program!
MOG DAY is a one-day relocation of the Eno River Farmers' Market to the Bonnie B Davis Center in Hillsborough. While the annual Hog Day festival occupies the market's usual pavilion, the vendors are setting up just down the street to keep the community supplied with fresh, local food. What to Know: The market runs from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 19. Admission is free, but you will want to bring wallet money for the ten-dollar Wooden Nickel BBQ sandwiches, which feature local pork and fresh Strong Arm Baking rolls. Every dollar from these sandwich sales goes directly to the SNAP Double Bucks program. Parking is available on-site at the Bonnie B Davis Center, and the flat layout is easy to navigate with a stroller. This is a smart weekend stop because it keeps your grocery routine intact while offering an easy, high-quality lunch option. You can stock up on peak-season produce and local meats while teaching your kids about supporting the local food system.
