Mad Lab is a live comedy show where local performers test out brand-new, experimental improv concepts on stage. Because the format changes with every performance, you are essentially acting as the test audience for fresh, unscripted games and sketches that have never been tried before. This event takes place on Thursday night from 8:30 to 10:00 PM at the ComedyWorx venue in Raleigh. Tickets are eight dollars, making it a highly affordable night out. Due to the late hour and the unpredictable, unrated nature of experimental improv, this show is best suited for parents on a date night or families with older teenagers. Free parking is available in the venue lot and along the street. It makes a great weekend kickoff because it offers a low-cost, low-pressure way to get out of the house and laugh. You get to support local Raleigh artists while seeing a completely different show than anyone else has ever seen.
