Little Outdoor Explorers Club at White Deer Park is a two-hour, drop-off nature program in Garner designed for young children to explore the outdoors through guided activities. Kids will spend the morning hiking wooded trails, searching for local wildlife, and splashing in the shallow streams. This program is designed specifically for children ages four to six, and registration is six dollars per child. Parents must register their children online in advance through the town website. Because the activities involve mud and water, you should send your child in sturdy, closed-toe shoes that can get wet, and pack a complete change of clothes for the ride home. Parking is free and easily accessible at the main White Deer Park lot. This event is an excellent Saturday morning option because it gives your child a chance to socialize and connect with nature while you enjoy a quiet two-hour break to run errands or grab a coffee nearby.
