A new show on family, sexuality, faith, and the people you can’t leave behind. When Lena returns to Tennessee for her mother’s surgery, the familiar begins to crack open, revealing buried queer histories, old awakenings, and the relationships that made her life possible. Kingdom Come is an irreverent journey about the surprising things we discover when we look closely at home. Expect songs, movement, humor, and a cast of unforgettable characters—all played by one person. Directed by Carrboro local Lillian White and performed by Erin Amlicke. Recommended for ages 13+.~Erin Amlicke is an actor and writer based in Brooklyn, NY, who hails from Nashville, TN. She has acted all over the country in regional theaters and developed new writing in Raleigh, NYC, Philadelphia, and Lima, Peru. She is a co-director of Frontera Flotante, an international arts collective. Erin was a Deceleration Lab Artist with The Assembly Theater ('23-'24) and holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Houston. www.erinamlicke.com | @erinamlyes Lillian White is a stage director and performance artist based in Carrboro, NC. In the US, she has presented work in and outside of traditional theater spaces at Burning Coal Theatre, the BorderLight Festival, Cannonball & Miniball Festivals, HERE Art Center, and abroad at the Museum of Memory, Tolerance & Social Inclusion; the Británico Cultural; El Galpón Espacio; El Cultural (Trujillo), among others.
