K-5th Adventures: Hispanic Heritage Month is a free, hands-on educational workshop where elementary school students learn about traditional customs and build their own piñatas. Kids will explore the history behind this festive tradition before diving into a craft project designed specifically for their developmental level. This program is designed strictly for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. It is completely free to attend, but supplies are limited and entry is first-come, first-served. You will need to arrive at the Middle Creek Community Library early to grab a entry ticket from the circulation desk, which they start handing out at 4:00 PM. The library has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of free spaces, and you do not need to bring any supplies with you. This weekday afternoon activity is a smart pick for parents looking to transition from the school day into the evening with an educational, screen-free activity.
