Special Juneteenth tours will be held every day (except Mondays) from Saturday, June 13, to Sunday, June 21, 2026. Tuesday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday: 1 to 3 p.m. Monday: Closed The tours are free to attend. Historic Resources and Museum Program, the Dr. M. T. Pope House Collection Learn the inspiring story of Dr. Manassa T. Pope and the struggles of other free African Americans in their fight for freedom in North Carolina! Donations are always welcome, but never necessary. These are special tours to honor the week of Juneteenth, so the focus for tours this week are the free people of color of North Carolina that were a part of the Pope Family.
