The 3rd Annual I AM Too Sexy 5k is more than a race. It’s a high-energy, co-ed EXPERIENCE bringing the community together for movement, mental health, confidence, connection, and a whole lot of FUN! Walkers, runners, first-timers, seasoned athletes, and everyone in between will come together for a 5k where pace isn’t the priority. Showing up is. And don’t let the name fool you. “Sexy” isn’t about how you look. Sexy is CONFIDENCE. Sexy is swagger. It’s the feeling you get when you push through something hard and realize, “I DID THAT.” From the music and energy to the encouragement, community, and celebration, the I AM Too Sexy 5k is designed to be an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Run it. Walk it. Dance along the way. Come exactly as you are. At the heart of the event is a powerful message about the connection between movement and mental health. Moving our bodies can support our mental well-being, boost confidence, create connection, and remind us what we’re capable of. Even better, the experience gives back. The proceeds benefits NAMI Durham, supporting mental health advocacy, education, resources, and awareness in our local community. Go for the 5k.
