Join us for this important hands-on learning session delivered by the American Heart Association. While offering practical, life-saving knowledge, please note that this session does not provide CPR Certification. Ages 9 and up, registration required.
The Hands-Only CPR and AED Learning Session is a free, one-hour community workshop designed to teach basic cardiac arrest response skills. Instructors from the American Heart Association will guide participants through the physical techniques of chest compressions and the proper steps to operate an automated external defibrillator. This class is designed for adults and children ages nine and older, making it a productive after-school activity for middle and high schoolers. While the session provides valuable practical knowledge, it does not offer official CPR certification. Registration is required to secure a spot, and parking is free in the library lot. Taking an hour to learn these skills gives older children and parents confidence in an emergency. It is a productive, low-pressure way to introduce your kids to community safety and basic first aid on a Monday afternoon.
