The Hands-Only CPR and AED Learning Session is a free community workshop designed to teach residents how to recognize cardiac arrest and take action before professional help arrives. Participants will learn how to call 911 effectively, perform chest compressions, and operate an automated external defibrillator. This session is open to anyone ages nine and older, making it a practical activity for parents to attend alongside their middle schoolers or teenagers. The class is completely free, but you must register online in advance to secure a spot. The Green Road Community Library offers free parking in its main lot, and you do not need to bring any special equipment to participate. Spending an hour of your Saturday learning these skills is a low-stress way to build emergency preparedness. It is a highly useful, hands-on class that gives older kids real-world confidence while fitting easily into a busy weekend schedule.
